CNSR Communication Networks and Services Research Conference (CNSR 2006)

Announcement: CNSR 2006 Work in Progress Conference Session

The CNSR 2006 Organizing Committee is pleased to introduce another conference session this year for CNSR 2006, which complements the tutorial program already launched. This new Work in Progress session provides a valuable forum for researchers and industry experts to learn about the latest advances in communications and related services. The poster format has been chosen as the most suitable way to present essential ideas of the research in a highly accessible form and to encourage feedback and discussion with researchers.

Conference attendees, academic researchers and professionals from industry will benefit from the Work in Progress session in many ways:
  • Attendees will learn about the latest promising ideas and innovative research in progress. The work will range from early stage development to near completion;
  • Both academic and industry researchers, students and practitioners can expose early work to constructive analysis and fruitful comments to the benefit of future research;
  • Researchers may attract collaborators and sponsors to their R&D projects;
  • The session is suitable to present work that cannot be fully disclosed due to intellectual property or patent constraints;
  • Work in Progress posters will not be published in the Conference Proceedings.
If you have research in progress or even in the planning stage and would like to get feedback from a range of academic and industry experts, we encourage you to submit your proposal for the Work in Progress conference session. Please e-mail an extended abstract, 1 page maximum, to: Dr. Bernd J. Kurz at bjkurzunb.ca by April 10th, 2006.

Submissions will be assessed for their suitability for CNSR 2006, and a notification of acceptance or rejection will be e-mailed by April 13th, 2006. Posters must not exceed a size of 40"x40", and must be received the morning of May 24, 2006 at the CNSR 2006 Registration desk. Authors (or at least one of the co-authors) of Work in Progress posters are regular conference attendees and are required to pay the conference registration fee.
